The two different packages refer to the fur felt it is made out of.
Beaver fur felt is a naturally water repellent material. This is a great option for someone who will really put their hat to work. Think landscaping, cowboys/cowgirls, someone who wears a hat in the rain. The finish of this hat is going to be softer and this is considered the premium option.
Rabbit fur felt is a great option for someone who wants a quality hat but doesn’t need to fight the elements in it. Rabbit fur felt can withstand light rain but is a great option if sun protection or mere fashion is the top priority.
